When choosing a degree, Graphic Design was my first idea, then somewhere along the way I got convinced into switching to Studio Art. I am proud of the switch I made but I never stopped loving design and never really stopped learning about it either. Being in art school, you learn from your peers and what they do in their classes. Since graduating, it has been more difficult to find the learning tools and space I need to improve my skills. The Design Lab will be a gallery and idea space for the designs that I experiment with and try to grow from.
001 - Designing a Poster
Design Notes:
001 - In my first session and design project in the lab, I tried designing a poster and then practiced working with mockups using that design. In the session, I learned a lot and know now a few different ways to layout the whiteboard session itself. I also learned a lot about how layers behave in Photoshop. I think the next steps from here, would be to do more research into other designers, specifically designs within the music industry.
