My work is, and will ever be, changing. Abstraction is a tool through which my work explores themes of religion, emotional discovery, and collective unity. Whereas my figurative work and landscapes handle nostalgia, environmental memory, and advocacy for the peoples will. It is my intention to create with compassion and mindfulness.
I believe that it is the artists goal in society to advocate and bare witness to our unfolding human history. I work, just as many artist do, to bring about visually compelling manifestations of the current collective state. When one looks at art and how it's history relates to world events, it is evident that what one person was feeling in one side of the world, another felt the same on the other. It is that from which I build my philosophy. We are never alone and art proves it, so when a person decides to truly sit with the artwork that I have created, I hope they find that we actually think very much a like; and if we don't, it's okay. What a great place to start a new conversation.
